If we imagined that summer was dedicated to R&R, we were wrong! We had the privilege of supporting the youth camp for the Criuleni church, which was a blessing for the young people. Following the week of camp, a young teen, Madalina, trusted Christ in the Sunday morning service in Criuleni.
Madalina trusted Christ following youth camp Vadim trusted the Lord this week!
The following week, another young man, Vadim, who had been attending services for months, trusted Christ. God is opening the hearts of Moldovans, and they are believing in Christ alone for salvation.
Our mission to 'Get’er Done' is ongoing, and the Lord's work is unfolding in unexpected ways. We've previously mentioned our Moldovan partner, Eduard, and we're thrilled to witness how the Lord is using him to establish this church plant effectively with our team. Eduard is the Director of a compassion ministry in Moldova that ministers to churches and families all over Moldova. By God’s grace, the board of his mission granted us a line of credit to move forward on the church building before fall and winter arrive. The amount of the credit was enough to purchase most of the construction materials but not the labor cost.
We have been standing in awe as, one after another, Christian businessmen, with their skilled workers, came forward and built the church, including the roofs of the two buildings on the property. Their unwavering faith in God's provision is truly inspiring. These Moldovan businessmen love the Lord and believe that the Lord will bless their faith and this church plant.
A bi-vocational pastor does roofing. We hope to pay him and his crew soon by God's grace
Jo Ann and I are so blessed to be a part of this ministry of faith. Souls are being saved, and the Lord has already constructed most of the new building. The believers and neighbors in our town are so excited about what is happening and what is going to happen. All we need to do now is keep preaching the gospel and pay for the building.
We know that you will not doubt us when we tell you that this building costs only $50,000. Three individuals immediately sent a total of $1,500 for the project, so we are on our way to the goal, and there may be other individuals who feel led to help. There are many ways to slice this pie, but imagine if ten churches were to raise $5,000 each for the project or twenty churches raising $2,500 each. We could cancel the line of credit and pay the Christian businesses that invested in this beautiful church plant.
Church planting is the heart of missions and the Great Commission. If you believe the Lord would have you or your church help with this essential church plant, please click the following link to channel your gifts to the Moldova Institute of Church Planting.
Funds can also be sent to this project at the ABWE home office. Please designate your gift to the "Moldova Institute of Church Planting" under the Rich and Jo Ann Davis account.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support. Our goal this term is to complete the training of the 30 church planters studying with us and to see each of the 12 new church plants grow stronger, as we are witnessing in Criulini. Please pray over the next 16 months that the Lord would continue to give us the strength, health, and ability to complete the task in the ICP and in the Christian University (UDG). We are striving to Get'er Done and with your prayers, we will.
