Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

Anticipation . . .

We have all prayed and listened to the prompting of the Lord. We should not be surprised that the living God answers prayer, and yet we are awed at the precision and perfection of His response! 

Over the course of the last few weeks, and especially the last few days, we have together been watching the Lord answer prayer. With each passing day, it seemed clear that the Lord was going to provide 100% of our support requirements by the established date. The goal was to meet with the ABWE Director of Missionary Finance on Friday, August 25 and receive financial clearance to leave for Moldova. 

Wait for it . . . wait for it . . .

On Friday morning, August 25 we looked at our support account and the answer from the Lord was right before our eyes. Sometime during Thursday night, a dear friend posted his commitment to join our support team and our account now showed 100% supported! 

The meeting with the folks at the ABWE Missionary Finance Department on Friday afternoon was a time of rejoicing and praise as we recognized the power of prayer and the never failing love of the Lord. Great is His faithfulness!

Fast start This young runner looks like we feel - off to a VERY fast start and she is determined to finish well!

On Our Way

The Lord has provided 100% of our monthly support and also the funds needed for the ministry van, airfare, and tuition for language study among other things. You prayed with us that the Lord would allow us to arrive in Moldova in time to start language study at the beginning of September, and He answered with a resounding YES!

The gun has sounded and we did not waste a second. We just purchased our tickets to leave for Moldova on Tuesday, August 29th on United Airlines and Lufthansa. Our flight will take us to Munich and then on to Chisinau, Moldova arriving the next day. 

We have been in communication with our partners in Moldova as well as the language school where we plan to study Romanian. Everyone is ready for our arrival. The process for obtaining our visas to work in Moldova started and we are now asking prayer for the next steps of our new ministry. 

Moving down the track . . .

Please do not stop praying. Prayer is getting us to Moldova in a timely way and prayer is now needed accomplish all that the Lord desires to do through us. We don't want to just be there. We desire to have a ministry that will have significant and eternal results. Please pray as we leave our place in good order here in Pennsylvania, pack for the next term in Moldova and all the details of flying and arrival. Please also pray that we might get settled in our new apartment and begin the challenge of learning to speak Romanian

Please keep praying as we work together with the leadership at the Christian University and also with the leadership of the Association of Baptist Churches. We are so excited about meeting and working with the students at the U and also the believers in the churches in Chisinau. We are asking the Lord to keep us spiritually strong, emotionally sensitive, and physically healthy

We are the first couple with ABWE to actually live and work in Moldova, but there are others beginning their preparation to join us by His grace. Please pray for upcoming missionary families to join us here in Moldova that we might all be an encouragement to His people in this country. May we see souls won to Christ, disciples established, and churches started for His glory. 

Go You are not just a spectator. You are cheering, praying, and giving. Thank you!

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9-10)

The ministry of the Great Commission is accomplished by all of us in the Body of Christ. Those of us on the on the track, so to speak, are only a small part of the equation. On the human side, those who are faithfully praying and giving may be less visible but are equally important. We couldn't be on the track without you. Thank you for doing your part to carry out the commandment to make disciples in every nation. We are doing it together. 

The Great Commission is too big for anyone to accomplish alone and
